Shanghai scientists develop calcium-oxygen battery that lasts 700 recharge cycles

On Feb 7, 2024 research by a team of scientists from Fudan University in Shanghai was published on the website of the journal Nature that Calcium–oxygen batteries (Ca-O2) can theoretically afford high capacity by the reduction of oxygen (O2) to calcium oxide compounds (CaOx) at low cost.
